Dental work and breastfeeding

It is generally safe to receive necessary dental treatments, including root canals and implant surgeries, while breastfeeding. Local anesthesia is typically considered safe, and your dentist can prescribe antibiotics or pain relief medication that is compatible with nursing. Be sure to inform your dentist that you are breastfeeding so they can select the most appropriate options for you and your baby.
