Do I need to have my spouse's name mentioned on my passport to apply for my baby's passport?

It is not strictly mandatory to have your spouse's name on your passport, but it simplifies the application process significantly. If your spouse's name is not listed, you must carry your original marriage certificate as proof of the relationship. Some parents find it easier to raise a request to add the spouse's name to their own passport during the same appointment window as the child’s application.
