How can I help my baby pee if they seem dehydrated or colicky?

If you are concerned about your baby's hydration, monitor their diaper output; 5-6 wet diapers in 24 hours is generally adequate. If they seem to be holding their urine, you can try bringing them into the bathroom and gently sprinkling a tiny bit of cool water on their legs while making a 'shhh' sound, which can stimulate them to void. If your baby is also colicky or fussy, ensure they are getting enough fluids—if they refuse breastmilk or formula, consult your pediatrician immediately to rule out dehydration, especially if they have had a recent fever.
