How can I manage a baby with persistent diaper rash that isn't healing?

If standard zinc-based rash creams are not working, avoid harsh wipes and switch to cleaning with gentle water rinses or a portable bidet. Applying a layer of coconut oil can provide a soothing barrier between changes. Some parents find relief using specialized rash creams like Bordeaux’s Butt Paste or products like Sebamed/Tedibar, but avoid 'Sudocrem' if your baby has had a past reaction to it. Always ensure the skin is completely dry before applying a new diaper, and consider frequent 'diaper-free time' to help the area heal naturally.
