How can I teach my toddler about private body parts?

Teaching about private body parts is a gradual process. Use the correct anatomical names for body parts and consistently model that certain areas are private and not for touching by others. If your toddler touches yours or others inappropriately, calmly but firmly state, 'I don't like that touch,' or 'That is not a private touch,' and gently redirect them. Consistency is key; repeating these boundaries in a calm voice helps them learn what is acceptable without shaming them.
