How do I transition to cow's milk for a baby with a history of CMPA?

For babies with Cow's Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA), dairy introduction should follow a "milk ladder" protocol, starting only when the child’s gut has had significant time to heal and under professional supervision. The ladder generally begins with highly processed/baked forms of milk protein (like biscuits or small amounts in baked goods), moving gradually to cooked forms (like pancakes or suji chilla), then cooked yogurt, and finally raw dairy like curd or paneer. If you see any reaction, stop immediately, wait for the gut to recover, and try again much later. Ghee often contains negligible milk protein and is sometimes tolerated earlier, but always consult your pediatrician before initiating this process.
