FAQ Milestones 6-12 months

Is 'butt scooting' instead of crawling normal for a 10-month-old?

Yes, 'butt scooting' is a normal way for some babies to move around. Every baby develops their own method of locomotion, and some infants may skip traditional crawling entirely, moving straight to pulling up, cruising, and walking. As long as your baby is mobile and active, there is usually no cause for concern.
