FAQ Feeding 6-12 months

Is it okay to give fruit juice to my infant?

Fruit juice is generally not recommended for infants because the juicing process removes the beneficial fiber, leaving behind concentrated sugar. If you choose to offer fruit, it is much healthier to provide the whole fruit, either mashed or as part of a smoothie, to ensure the baby receives the natural fiber and nutrients. If you must offer juice, avoid straining it so the pulp is included, but prioritize whole foods whenever possible.
