Is it too early to enroll my toddler in playschool at 2 years old?

It is completely normal to feel hesitant about starting playschool when you are already providing a rich environment at home. While you may be covering activities like reading and independent eating, playschool offers unique opportunities for social interaction outside of the home, learning to follow instructions from an adult other than a parent, and gaining confidence through observation and peer interaction. Many parents find that even short-duration playschool sessions can boost a child's independence and communication skills. However, if you are unsatisfied with the teacher-student ratio or do not feel your child is ready, there is no pressure to rush; trust your instincts and observe your child’s social cues to decide when the time is right.
