My baby is suddenly refusing solids and only wants breast milk or fruit. Is this normal?
It is very common for babies between 8–10 months to go through a phase of refusing savory solids while still accepting fruits. This can be due to teething, minor illnesses, growth spurts, or simply a preference for sweetness. Since breast milk or formula remains the primary source of nutrition until age one, do not force-feed, as this can create a negative association with mealtime. Continue to offer a variety of savory solids without pressure, and try to gradually space out milk feeds to ensure your baby develops an appetite for other foods.
