My Toddler is Suddenly Scared of Books

As toddlers develop their imaginations and emotional awareness, they may suddenly become afraid of familiar books or toys. This is normal and often temporary. Avoid forcing the item; instead, set it aside for a few weeks. You can later reintroduce it in a low-pressure way by modeling that the activity is safe while letting the child lead the pace.
