Should I be concerned if my baby is crying in their sleep or seems clingy after a separation?

It is not uncommon for infants to experience temporary separation anxiety, which can manifest as crying in their sleep or increased clinginess upon being reunited with you. This is usually just their way of processing the change in routine or expressing their attachment. Provide plenty of physical comfort, skin-to-skin contact, and extra nursing time if they seek it; this behavior is typically a phase that passes as they grow more secure.
