Are BCG vaccine site bumps or pus normal?

It is completely normal and expected for the BCG vaccine injection site to develop a small red bump that may later form a tiny white pus-filled head. This is actually a positive sign that your baby's immune system is responding to the vaccine. Avoid applying any oils, lotions, or creams to the spot; just wash it gently with water during baths and pat it dry, and it will eventually heal on its own.
