It is completely normal for the BCG vaccine site to develop a small red bump that may eventually form a tiny white pus-filled head. This is actually a sign that the vaccine is working as intended. Avoid applying oils, lotions, or creams to the area; simply wash it gently with water during baths and pat it dry. It will typically heal and dry out on its own, but you can always consult your pediatrician for reassurance.
