FAQ CMPA 0-3 months3-6 months6-12 months

What are the common symptoms of Cow Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA) in infants?

CMPA symptoms can manifest in various ways, including digestive issues like spit-up (reflux), excessive gas, fussiness, mucus in the stool, loose motions, or blood streaks in the stool. Skin reactions, such as eczema or rashes, are also frequently observed. Additionally, some infants may experience sleep disturbances or irritability associated with these symptoms. If you suspect your baby has CMPA, consult your pediatrician for a proper diagnosis, as symptoms often subside once milk proteins are eliminated from the baby's (and breastfeeding mother's) diet.
