FAQ ActivitiesToysMilestones 6-12 months

What kind of toys and activities are suitable for an 8-month-old?

At 8 months, babies are typically at a peak of physical curiosity as they become more mobile. Engage them with 'treasure baskets' filled with safe, everyday household objects like large wooden spoons, silicone spatulas, or clean fabric scraps to explore textures. Physical play like assisted cruising, tummy time with reach-and-grab toys, and simple games like peek-a-boo help develop their motor skills. Since they are prone to putting everything in their mouths, ensure all toys are non-toxic, have no loose parts, and are appropriately sized to prevent choking.
