FAQ FeedingMilestones 3-6 months

What should I do if my baby suddenly refuses to feed or shows a decreased appetite at 4-5 months?

It is very common for babies to become more efficient at feeding or more easily distracted by their surroundings at this age, which can lead to shorter or less frequent nursing sessions. To encourage feeding, try offering the breast or bottle in a dark, quiet, and low-stimulation room away from distractions like fans or mobile objects. As long as your baby is meeting their diaper count (6-8 wet diapers a day) and following their growth curve, their intake is likely sufficient, even if it feels like less than their usual amount.
