Why am I experiencing tooth pain while postpartum?

It is not uncommon for breastfeeding or postpartum parents to experience sensitivity or tooth pain due to shifts in hormones, changes in calcium levels, or even increased nighttime grinding from stress and exhaustion. While it is important to visit a dentist to rule out underlying issues like cavities or gum inflammation, many parents find relief by focusing on hydration and ensuring they are getting adequate calcium and Vitamin D in their diet. If the pain persists or is accompanied by swelling, be sure to consult with your dentist or primary care physician to discuss the best path forward.
