Why is my 3-month-old constantly putting their hands in their mouth?
Around 3 months, babies reach a major developmental milestone called hand-to-mouth coordination. Mouthing their fingers or toys is a normal, healthy part of their sensory exploration and does not necessarily mean they are hungry. As long as they are otherwise content, this is simply a phase of them learning to interact with their environment.
