Constant ear infections - time for grommets?
Toddler had 6 ear infections in 8 months. ENT mentioned grommets. Any experiences? Did it help? Recovery?

Grommets at 2.5 - transformative. No more infections, language took off (she'd been hearing muffled for months).

We resisted but eventually did them at 3. Wish we'd done it sooner.

Recovery was 1 day. She was back at nursery the next morning.

Make sure they check hearing properly before - sometimes there's fluid causing hearing loss without infections.
