Car seat on plane vs hold the baby?
Long flight, 14 month old. CARES harness? Car seat? Just hold?

Car seat is safest by far. They sleep better in it too because they know it = sleep.

CARES harness for an active toddler if your seat is bulkhead.

Holding works for under 1. After that, the squirm is impossible.

Check airline rules - some require specific certification on car seats.
