When to introduce peanut butter - latest UK guidelines?

5mo. Read mixed things about early peanut intro for allergy prevention. UK guidelines vs LEAP study. Pediatrician didn't seem sure either.

Current advice: from around 6mo, all babies can have well-mashed/thinned smooth peanut butter. High-risk (severe eczema or egg allergy) babies should start even earlier (4mo) with allergist guidance.

We did Bamba sticks dissolved into puree at 6mo. Now happily eats nut butter at 2.

LEAP study is solid evidence - early intro REDUCES allergy risk in high-risk babies.

Smooth, thinned with water or breastmilk. Never whole nuts or thick lumps.
