Vaccine schedule - any reason to split MMR doses?
nimble-lemur · 4/3/2026
Friend split her son's into 3 single jabs (privately). Heard conflicting things. Anyone done this and would you do it again?

The single jab thing comes from the discredited Wakefield study. Combined MMR is well-evidenced and safe.
We did combined. No issues. The split protocol creates a longer window of vulnerability.
If you're nervous, talk to your GP. They've heard it all and won't judge.
Singles also mean 3x the needles and 3x the immune response timing. Not actually gentler.
