RSV season - how cautious are you really being?

October, 4mo old, no daycare yet. Friends want to meet baby, family wants to visit, christenings etc. How much do you actually isolate?

If they could get Nirsevimab/Beyfortus that protects against RSV - might be worth asking GP.

Big indoor gatherings yes I'd avoid. Small visits with healthy people fine.

Vaccinated and well = welcome. Sick or recently around sick kids = stay home. That's our rule.

Hand washing, no kissing baby, ask people to tell you honestly if they're feeling rough.

We were super careful first winter. Looking back probably too much. RSV is bad for unwell babies; healthy term babies usually do ok.
