Newborn only sleeps on me - 3 weeks old
fuzzy-hedgehog · 2/26/2026
Put her down asleep, eyes open in 30 seconds. I'm terrified to sleep with her on me but I haven't slept more than 90 min in 3 weeks. What do?

Totally normal. Fourth trimester. They want to be on you because that's where they feel safe.
Bassinet warm pad - warm a heating pad in the bassinet, remove before placing baby, transfers to warm spot.
Snuz Pod with side down let me reach over and pat without picking up. Sanity saver.
Swaddle, white noise, transfer when in deep sleep (limp arm test). It gets a bit better around 6-8 weeks.
Look into Safe Sleep Seven for emergency cosleeping when needed - safer than chair sleep with baby.
Tag team with partner - shifts so each of you gets a 4hr stretch.
