Wooden vs plastic - does it actually matter?
Trying to limit plastic for environmental reasons. But wooden toys are SO much more expensive. Does it actually matter to development?

Open-ended toys (wood or otherwise) > flashy electronic plastic toys. The material itself doesn't matter as much as the type.

Secondhand wooden toys are amazing value. Vinted/eBay/Facebook Marketplace.

Mix is fine. We have wooden blocks AND duplo. Both used loads.

Mini stockholm syndrome about plastic - some plastic toys are genuinely better designed.

Honestly the toy doesn't matter half as much as having an adult to play with them.
