Check baby iron levels at one year

Iron supplementation is often recommended from 6 months onwards because babies' natural iron stores deplete by then and breastmilk doesn't provide enough. Consult your pediatrician for a blood test at the 1-year mark to check levels, as some babies may need to continue supplementation beyond their first birthday.
