FAQ Feeding 6-12 months1-2 years

How can I finish weaning from the final feed without engorgement?

Once you have successfully reduced your nursing sessions down to one per day, many parents find they can stop that final feed abruptly without experiencing significant engorgement. Because your milk supply has likely already regulated to match the low demand of that single feed, your body often adjusts naturally without needing additional steps. If you are worried, pay attention to your comfort levels, but generally, at this stage, it is safe to transition to stopping completely.
