Tips for weaning from the breast or pump

Weaning should be a gradual process to avoid engorgement and discomfort. Rather than stopping cold turkey, slowly increase the time between pumps or feeds, and eventually drop one session at a time over several weeks. It is normal to feel some tingling or notice leaking for a few weeks after your final session; listen to your body and scale back intuitively.
