FAQ FeedingMilestones 6-12 months

How can I manage an 8-month-old who suddenly refuses to be spoon-fed?

It is quite common for babies around 8 months to start rejecting spoon-feeding as they develop a stronger desire for autonomy. Instead of turning it into a power struggle, allow your baby to explore the food with their hands while you continue to offer small, nutritious bites. This transition is often a normal part of development as they move toward self-feeding, so keep mealtimes low-pressure and continue feeding on demand, trusting that they will eat when they are ready.
