How do I manage a baby who cries during massage and bathing?

It is quite common for infants to be fussy during oil massages or bath time, often because they are hungry, tired, or dislike the sensation of being undressed. Try changing the timing to when the baby is well-rested and has had a feed. If a hired help is doing the massage, try doing it yourself to create a more gentle, bonding experience. Some babies find relief if you start with back massages while they are lying on their tummy, or by sitting with them in your lap during a bath.
