How do I monitor for allergic reactions once my baby starts solids?

Once a baby moves to solid foods, it can be more difficult to spot physical signs of a reaction, such as blood in the stool. If you are concerned, some specialists suggest a stool routine test to check for occult (hidden) blood that isn't visible to the naked eye. However, many experts advise avoiding unnecessary testing unless the baby is experiencing persistent loose stools or other concerning symptoms.
