How do I safely store and transport breast milk during travel?

For short travel (under 4 hours), milk is safe at room temperature. For longer journeys, use a dedicated, high-quality cooler bag paired with ice packs or frozen gel packs. Many mothers successfully transport both fridge-chilled and frozen milk for door-to-door trips of 6+ hours using this method. Avoid unnecessary temperature fluctuations by keeping the cooler well-sealed and packed tightly, and try to use the milk as soon as you reach your destination.
