FAQ Feeding 6-12 months

How do I start solids for a baby with CMPA?

For CMPA babies, start with simple, non-allergenic whole foods like vegetables, fruits, and single-grain porridges. When introducing potential allergens like nuts or seeds, introduce them one at a time in very small quantities and observe the baby for 3-7 days before adding another. If the baby is sensitive, skip common reactive foods like dals or dates initially and focus on those they tolerate well. It is often recommended to follow a mix of traditional spoon-feeding and baby-led weaning (BLW) based on the baby's comfort level.
