FAQ Feeding 1-2 years2-3 years

How much milk should a 3-year-old drink per day?

Milk intake should be capped at 400ml per day after age 1. If a child is consuming 500ml plus curd and paneer, total dairy intake is likely too high and may be suppressing appetite for other foods. Do not increase milk to compensate for weight stagnation — focus instead on a balanced diet with seeds, dry fruits, proteins, and vegetables. If the paediatrician is not concerned about the weight curve, parents should not worry either. Many toddlers plateau in weight for long periods while still being perfectly healthy.
