When and how should I introduce cow's milk to my baby?

Cow's milk is typically introduced after the age of 1, as breast milk or formula should remain the primary source of nutrition during the first year. Before age 1, dairy like ghee, butter, curd, or cheese can be introduced as part of a solid food diet, provided there is no Cow Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA). After 1, animal milk can be offered as a drink, but it is not mandatory if your child gets sufficient calcium from other sources like paneer and curd. Limit total daily dairy intake to 400ml to ensure it doesn't suppress the toddler's appetite for other nutritious solid foods.
