How should I handle a parent who publicly criticizes my child's health in a group chat?

It is completely understandable to feel hurt or frustrated when a parent makes a public, unwarranted comment about your child’s health in a group setting. While it is standard practice to keep children home when they are symptomatic with a fever or a contagious illness, occasional sneezing or mild sniffles are a normal part of life for toddlers. Most parents agree that addressing these concerns through a private, one-on-one conversation is the most respectful approach. If someone chooses to air their grievances publicly, the best course of action is often to stay calm, maintain your boundaries, and ignore the public provocation, as you cannot control the reactions or maturity levels of others.
