Is a restricted maternal diet necessary for a colicky baby?

Colic is often a developmental phase related to a baby's immature gut rather than a direct result of what the mother eats. Unless your baby has a diagnosed food protein allergy (like CMPA), you do not typically need to follow a restrictive diet. Focus on your own nutrition, and keep in mind that maternal digestion issues—like gas or acidity—are often caused by your own reduced movement or routine changes rather than passing directly to the baby.
