Is it normal to feel intense hunger while breastfeeding?

It is completely normal to experience intense, sometimes "maddening" hunger while breastfeeding or pumping, as your body is working hard to produce milk. To manage this while staying healthy, focus on protein-heavy snacks and meals, such as peanut butter on toast, dry fruit bars, makhana, or parathas. Be mindful that drastically restricting calories can sometimes impact your milk supply, so prioritize nutrient-dense, whole foods that keep you feeling full and energized.
