Can I switch from spoon-feeding to baby-led weaning?

Yes, many parents successfully transition from traditional spoon-feeding to a combination approach or full baby-led weaning later in the first year. If your baby isn't showing much interest in self-feeding yet, you can start by offering soft, finger-friendly foods during one or two meals a day to help them practice motor skills. This transition often takes patience, so don't feel pressured to stop spoon-feeding entirely overnight. If you have help, such as a nanny, consistency is key—take the time to explain the safety benefits and how to prepare the food so everyone is on the same page.
