Is it safe to have caffeine like tea or coffee while breastfeeding?

Yes, moderate caffeine intake (1-2 cups of coffee or 2-3 cups of tea daily) is generally considered safe for breastfeeding mothers. Caffeine does pass into breast milk in small amounts, but levels typically peak about 1-2 hours after consumption. If you notice your baby seems sensitive, irritable, or has trouble sleeping, try having your coffee or tea immediately after a nursing session or limit your intake to earlier in the day to minimize the impact on your baby.
