Is 'nighttime' potty training possible for infants?
Nighttime dryness is largely driven by hormones, specifically the production of vasopressin, which is an anti-diuretic hormone that typically develops by age four on average. Because this process is biological and hormonal, it is generally not something that can be 'trained' in the same way daytime habits are. If your child wakes up needing to use the potty, it is best to respond to their needs, but do not feel pressured to actively train for overnight dryness until their body is developmentally ready.
