Is ragi (finger millet) constipating for babies?

Ragi can cause constipation for some babies as their digestive systems adapt to solid foods. To help, ensure you are using sprouted ragi powder, which is easier to digest, and offer it in a thinner consistency initially. Introducing hydration through breastmilk or formula is vital, and you can supplement this by mixing in fiber-rich foods like mashed elakki banana, pear, or papaya, or offering prune/munakka water to keep stools soft.
