Should I be concerned if my 7-month-old is losing interest in solids?
It is completely normal for a baby's interest in solids to ebb and flow, especially around 7-8 months when teething or minor illnesses may occur. At this age, breast milk or formula remains the primary source of nutrition, so try to take the pressure off yourself and your baby. Focus on following their hunger cues rather than specific volumes, avoid using toys or screens to distract them during meals, and try eating together so they can model your behavior. If they resist, let the meal go and try again in a few hours.
