Should I be concerned if my baby rejects a new food?
It is very normal for babies to reject new foods when first starting solids. A baby may need 5 to 10 exposures (or even more) to a new food before they accept it. Instead of forcing them to eat, keep offering the food in different forms—such as mixing it with a previously accepted ingredient, adding it to pancakes later on, or simply re-introducing it after a few weeks. Consistency and a low-pressure environment are key to building a positive relationship with food.
