Should I feed my baby 'daal ka pani' (lentil water)?
It is generally recommended to skip 'daal ka pani' because it provides very little nutritional value for your baby. Instead, you can introduce daal directly by mashing it well and mixing it with rice, ghee, or vegetables. This offers much better nutrition, and while some parents worry about gas, it is a normal part of a baby’s digestive system developing when starting solids; giving the daal itself will not cause significantly more gas than the water.
