Using a phone while breastfeeding or soothing

Using your phone while feeding or soothing a baby can be a helpful tool for staying awake or maintaining your mental well-being during long, repetitive tasks. As long as your posture is safe and you remain attentive to your baby’s cues and safety, there is no evidence that moderate, intentional phone use harms the parent-child bond. Focus on what helps you stay mentally healthy and present during the times that matter most.
