What is the difference between CMPA and lactose intolerance?
CMPA is an immune system response where the body reacts to milk proteins (such as casein or whey), often causing symptoms that affect the gut, skin, and respiratory system. Lactose intolerance, however, is a digestive issue caused by a deficiency in the lactase enzyme, which is needed to break down lactose (milk sugar). Lactose intolerance typically only affects the gut and does not involve an allergic reaction.
