FAQ Feeding 3-6 months

What should I do if my baby gets distracted and stops feeding during breastfeeds?

It is very common for babies around 4-5 months to become easily distracted by their surroundings. To help them stay focused, try feeding in a dim or pitch-dark room with minimal noise, and keep the environment calm during the feeding process. If they are just snacking or playing, allow them to unlatch, and wait until they show clear hunger cues before offering the breast again. If you suspect teething, offering a clean teether before a feed can also help satisfy their urge to chew and keep them focused on the milk.
