What should I do if my baby hits their head during a small fall?

Seeing your baby hit their head is frightening, but if the fall was minor (such as from a few inches onto a soft playmat) and your baby returned to their normal, active self within a short time, they are likely fine. Monitor them closely for any concerning symptoms, such as persistent vomiting, unusual lethargy, fluid leaking from the ears or nose, or inconsolable crying. If you notice any of these red flags, contact your pediatrician immediately for professional guidance.
